The EDP Foundation and the Serralves Foundation agreed to develop joint projects in the spaces they manage, namely the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (maat) and the Tejo Central, in Lisbon, and the Museum, the House, the Parque de Serralves and Casa do Cinema Manoel de Oliveira, in Porto, aimed at promoting contemporary art, architecture and science.
In this sense, in the coming years, the EDP Foundation will annually support a major exhibition in Serralves, starting right now by supporting the major exhibition dedicated to the work of Carla Filipe, which will open this month at the Serralves Museum. The presentation of some Serralves initiatives at the maat and at the Central Tejo is also planned, in a collaboration that is expected to extend over the next few years, with other exhibitions and programs to be publicized.
With this agreement, the EDP Foundation and the Serralves Foundation end the talks they had been holding with a view to establishing a partnership for the management of the EDP Foundation's Cultural Campus. The collaboration between the two foundations will now develop through the promotion of joint initiatives, with the ambition of boosting cultural programming in the country and internationally.
The EDP Foundation and the Serralves Foundation therefore intend to consolidate their role as patrons and active agents in the promotion and dissemination of art and culture inside and outside Portugal.
