
On March 10th, at 6 pm, the painting exhibition "Diário" by Sara Miguel at the 25th of April Association.
Conceived to be a narrative that one wants to tell, this exhibition intertwines images and titles that intertwine and want to suggest an imaginary that is built from an emotion, from a memory that is reinterpreted, from an everyday event whose outcome does not is known.
As a diary record of emotions and experiences, questioning the meaning of life and loss, the works mostly produced in 2022, nevertheless, also assume an intentional perspective of bringing concerns such as the inequalities that persist in maintain itself or the individual interest that overrides the social dimension and the quality of life of citizens. A diary that draws itself, insinuates itself and defines a path in interaction between the world of the self and other worlds.
Who is it Sara Miguel?
self-taught artist, Sara Miguel attended the International Relations course at the University of Coimbra. Received an honorable mention in the Aveiro Young Creator Contest (2019). He participated in Artzine UltraViolenta, edition nº11, with two works (2020), in the collective "Sopro" (2022), in the International Biennial of Young Art of Vila Verde (2022), in Le Monde Diplomatique, with the works "We are humans, not numbers” (October 2022) and “Self-portrait” (March 2023). Solo exhibition "Origem" (Museu de Ovar, 2022) and opening on March 10, 2023, individual exhibition, "Diário", at Associação 25 de Abril in Lisbon.
