MEET THE FILM DIRECTOR: Vicente Alves do Ó
The biographical film about the painter Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso, entitled “Amadeo”, directed by Vicente Alves do Ó, will premiere on January 26, 2023, in cinemas.Modern from the start, Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso (1887-1917) was an unmistakable artist in the Portuguese artistic scene of the 20th century, for having incorporated elements of the new artistic movements into his painting.
MEET THE ARTIST: Hugo Castilho
Hugo Castilho creates an intimate universe, by combining his taste for fantasy and drawing with line relief. Based on the surface, the drawing, modeled and painted, emerges as a three-dimensional work. In this meeting, life is celebrated in an inclusive, ethical and humorous way, by embracing humans, animals and nature as vehicles of figurative expression. MEET THE DIRECTOR: Óscar Garcia
Oscar Garcia Garcia (1978, Madrid) is director of PAC: Plataforma de Arte Contemporáneo y comisario independiente. Graduated in Art History by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Specialist in Tasación and Valuation of Artistic, Cultural and Collecting Assets by the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. After working in museums, art galleries, fairs, festivals, the press and as an independent commissioner since 2008, he founds PAC, the leading platform for the promotion and diffusion of contemporary art in which he exercises as Director General.
