Alexandre Duarte, Portuguese national, was born in Brussels in 1965. Son of a diplomat father, he spent a good part of his life abroad. During his adolescence he discovered analogue photography and started working in the darkroom. In the 90s, for various personal reasons, he put his machine down. After a long break, it was in Kazakhstan, in 2013, that he resumed his passion. Despite being an aficionado of analogue photography and a great fan of manual cameras, he converted to digital and it is mainly in black and white photography that he has been gaining ground among various communities of photographers, where he has been honored with awards and mentions. In 2017, he launched the website “The World according to Me Myself and Eye”, and was invited as an editor in the online magazine “Univers d'Artistes”.
