I don't consider myself an illustrator, I consider myself perhaps an observer lucky enough to have a hand that follows my gaze. As a young artist, my influences come mainly from my experiences, but they don't just come from them. Everything that crosses my path, and on which I look, has the ability to influence me in some way. Each of my creations goes through self-critical reflection, however, the work process has its own freedom, since my entire process until the final result is completely unexpected, in the sense that even I am surprised by the final creation. It is easily noticeable that everything I create, or almost everything, emerges from architecture. The search for self is deeply linked to my obsession with fictional houses and cities, which are entirely linked to the sense of my own identity. In my work, from a more intimate and personal point of view, there is a rejection of perfection, canons and even reality as we know it. My houses are, therefore, imperfect, uninhabitable, impossible, imaginary, utopian, but authentic beings and, therefore, a mirror of my body and my being. Currently, and with the creation of the André Rita Atelier, I developed a more introspective work, avoiding the expectations that may exist, keeping in mind that the reason I started drawing was because I felt that there was something I wanted to manifest in order to have a greater understanding of myself and how to coexist with the rest of the world. society.
In the future, I try to ensure that my homes find a common space between reality and fiction, opening paths and possibilities for me and everyone. ver menos
