Artur Ventura

Artur Ventura was born in Lisbon, in 1963, and from an early age showed a deep interest in the Fine Arts. His artistic career began clearly in 1996, when he began his studies on the Art History Course at AR.CO, in the Portuguese capital. That same year, he had the opportunity to work in the studio of the renowned painter Luís Vieira-Baptista, a crucial moment that marked his trajectory. The year 1996 also witnessed his presence in the Model Drawing Course at the National Society of Fine Arts in Lisbon, expanding his skills and knowledge in the world of visual arts. From that point on, his career as a visual artist gained momentum, actively participating in group exhibitions that served as platforms to showcase his talent and artistic expression. Over the years, his works have found space in various exhibitions, permeating notable cultural spaces, such as the Centro Cultural Bento de Jesus Caraça, Galeria Fonte Nova, Espaço GAN, Galeria Arte e Oficina in Setúbal, Centro de Arte Morgadinhos in Algarve, among other renowned places throughout the country. Artur Ventura He has also been transmitting his passion for painting through classes in his own studio in Lisbon. His dedication to teaching seems to complement his own pursuit of artistic expression, shaping not only his art, but also influencing the emerging minds and talents that cross his path. His work is part of both public and private collections, reflecting the appreciation and recognition that his creations have received over the years.
