Juan Eugenio Mingorance Navas (1906 - 1979) was a Spanish painter who began his art studies in Málaga, under the guidance of Cesar Alvarez Dumont and, later, with Antonio Muñoz Degrain. In the same city, he won the Gold Medal for his work and held his first solo exhibition. He continued his studies at the Escuela Superior de Pintura of the Academia de San Fernando, in Madrid. Juan Eugenio Mingorance Navas he received a scholarship at the Alhambra, in Granada, and in 1932, with the help of a scholarship granted by the Minister of Public Instruction, he left for Paris to study at the Academy of Fine Arts, where he lived until 1940.
