Luis Feito López was born on October 31, 1929 in Madrid, Spain. His artistic career is an example of innovation and commitment to creative expression, highlighting him as one of the main exponents of lyrical abstraction in the 20th century.
Feito began his studies at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, in Madrid, between 1950 and 1954. Although he began with figurative painting, he quickly moved towards abstractionism, a style that would define his work. In 1955, he was one of the founders of the El Paso group, together with other Spanish artists, with the aim of revitalizing Spanish contemporary art through abstraction and experimentation.
His work is characterized by the expressive use of color and texture. Made often used a vibrant palette, highlighting shades of red, black and white. His abstract compositions are dynamic and full of energy, reflecting a continuous search for innovation and authenticity.
