Luís Liberato is a visual artist who evokes a new way of looking with his paintings full of symbolism and textures. His experimental work on the interaction between abstraction and figurative representations contains some performance elements. He has exhibited individually and collectively since 2010. He has participated in several exhibitions, with emphasis on the “Salão Convívio dos Artistas / Sócios” of the Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes, 2014; IX Vidigueira Art Biennial, 2014, Group exhibition at Torre Branca in Milan, among others. Throughout his career he has been distinguished with several awards, including an Honorable Gold Mention at the 3rd International Art Salon Galeria Aberta do Estoril, 2014, Bronze Medal at the 2nd International Art Expo of Montemor-o-Velho, Peace Medal at the 1st Coninter International Exhibition of Arts and Letters, Alandroal, International Creative Painting Prize 2014 at the 3rd Coninter International Exhibition of Arts and Letters at the Marquês de Pombal Foundation in Oeiras, Honorable Mention at the VIII Vidigueira Art Biennial 2012 and IX Biennial de Arte da Vidigueira 2014. He is also present on the list of 100 Portuguese artists selected “Debut Contemporary & Portugal Now” London 2015.
