Influenced by the great painters of abstract art,Sara Miguel He rejects traditional painting and gives free rein to his emotions and expressions in the pieces he produces. Your feelings are represented directly, through the movements formed on the screens, colors and tones. The influence of artists such as Wassily Kandinsky and Jackson Pollock on his artistic expression is predominantly noted. However,Sara Miguel offers a new element to her painting, by introducing lines from another medium other than paint - the artist introduces thread and fabric to her production, whether on canvas or in other elements. He began his artistic career as a self-taught artist, where his training in International Relations at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra proved to be fundamental in the discovery of different artistic languages expressing identity and vision of the world. Graduated in Classical Ballet from Imperial Classical Ballet, she received two honorable mentions, the first for the José Estêvão Literary Prize (2014) and the second in the area of painting in the Aveiro Jovem Criador Competition (2019 edition). She attended the theater school Start-teatro Histórias Formação for two years and several dance internships at Teatro Aveirense from 2008 to 2012, some of them with Companhia Nacional de Bailado, Ballet Teatro, Companhia Quorum Ballet and Companhia Jeune. Ballet de Genève. Member of the European Youth Parliament, representing Escola Secundária José Estêvão, which took place in Matosinhos (2013), he was part of the organization of the National Meeting of International Relations Students at Coimbra University (2015). Participated in the Artzine "Ultra Violenta", edition n°11, with two works (2020), collective exhibition "Sopro" (Avenida Café-Concerto, 2022), individual exhibition "Origem" (Museu de Ovar, 2022) and the International Biennial of Young Art of Vila Verde (2022). Participation in Le Monde Diplomatique, Portuguese edition, with the work “We are humans, not numbers” (October 2022). An exhibition is scheduled for 2023 at Associação 25 de Abril in Lisbon.
