The FERTILE FUTURES project, curated by Andreia Garcia and jointly curated by Ana Neiva and Diogo Aguiar, challenged seven project teams to imagine the water reservoirs of the future. The result will be visible from this Saturday at the Franchetti Palace, where the Portugal Pavilion is located.
The exhibition proposes the debate on the scarcity of fresh water in Portugal, suggesting solutions for a more sustainable future that intends to respond to the general theme of the Biennial "The Laboratory of the Future", curated by Lesley Lokko.
The official inauguration of the Pavilhão de Portugal takes place today with the launch of the catalog and a guided tour of the exhibition guided by the curators, with the presence of the seven teams from the Project Workshops.
The Minister of Culture, Pedro Adão e Silva and the General Director of Arts, Américo Rodrigues, will be present.
