The new exhibition at Coletivo 284 combines "the real and the virtual": the physical collection is also available on a digital platform.
The name is strange, but the concept is very intuitive. Coletivo 284's new exhibition is called “ON55_OFF284” and is the result of a partnership with the art purchasing platform P55.ART. The pieces available online can be seen offline in the space next to Amoreiras, in Lisbon.
The organization describes the initiative as an “innovative partnership” that “provides art lovers with a unique and updated way to purchase works, exploring the best of both universes”.
Let's explain. On the one hand, P55 has a large collection of works of art that you can buy or just consult on the website (there you will find information about the artists and stories related to the creation of the pieces. Coletivo 284 is a gallery designed to the millimeter, where nothing is left to chance.
The exhibition “ON55_OFF284” creates a bridge between the real and the virtual. “Art lovers can experience a complete journey, from discovering works online to physical immersion, thanks to a unique, enriching experience aligned with the demands of contemporary consumers”, say the organizers.
Curated by Adriana Scartaris, the exhibition promises to be a hybrid concept, “where art meets technology and the invisible threads of the virtual intertwine with the solidity of the pigments and materials that dance on the screen”.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on June 30th, between 6 pm and 9 pm. With free entry, the exhibition can be visited on the 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th and 9th of July, between 2pm and 7pm. Coletivo 284 is located at number 72A on Rua das Amoreiras, in Lisbon.
